Courtyard by Marriott Boston Downtown

Quaint little courtyard in the theater district. Good price for the fall season … favorite person … Kathy!!! A very kind person who saw I was in a bit of a rush to get out the door so she comp’t my coffee, fruit and yogurt. She had to make a special trip to find the yogurt also. Rooms are clean! So head on into Boston and enjoy the changing leaves of a New England autumn!

Runs definitely need updated. And are kind of small from what i'm used to for a Courtyard. The staff was great but they need to add a evening menu and increase their bar service.

Extremely noisy. People walking down the halls talking loudly. Doors slamming. I could hear my neighbours tv like it was my own, so I asked to move, which they promptly did. I’m now next to the gym, I can hear the person running on the treadmill, but I’m overall satisfied. At least people aren’t running all night. Last night was cool and I slept very soundly. Folks didn’t start moving around until like 6AM. That’s acceptable. Rooms have minor imperfections but nice. I will say, in all the years of being a Marriott member, this is the noisiest hotel. Great location though.

Perfect location to walk anywhere but especially for seeing shows (Theater district). No fridge access but a microwave at the ice machine was in use alot. Great Breakfast each morning!

Loved everything about it! The room was small, but lovely. The staff were attentive. And the location was perfect. We’ll be back!

Stayed here a few times and had a pretty good experience recently. This hotel seemed to have a lot of tourist traffic when I stayed, with a lot of families with kids, and what looked like a few business travelers. Room I got was quite spacious and comfortable (pics of the room are from when I was checking out...it was very neat and tidy when I checked in.) A/C keep the room cool, but ran for weird reasons. This version of the room (15th floor) had me keep the bathroom door closed at night since light BLASTED in once the sun was up and there were no curtains in the bathroom. Bathroom was nice and hot water was plentiful. The 15th floor also has its own small lounge (see pics) where people can hang out, with a lot of graphics of the history of the property. (You will find that some guests can't seem to understand "wait for elevator to go down" when you want to go to the lobby, and hog the elevators, so be aware of that.) Staff (front desk and housekeeping) were all very nice and on point with what they were doing. Yes, this property is pricier than other Marriott's in the area...if you want something less expensive & smaller there's a Moxy down the corner, for starters. This is a mainline Courtyard and that's what you're paying for.

This historic property, replete with charm, is ideally situated. It is an eight-minute walk to downtown, a short stroll to Chinatown, and a 10-15 minute walk to Beacon Hill, with the North End accessible within 10-20 minutes. My accommodations, though compact, were impeccably clean and comfortable. The hotel is currently undergoing a significant renovation, with work anticipated to conclude on the 15th floor. I had the opportunity to observe the renovation progress on the 15th floor and was fortunate enough to receive a guided tour. The updated rooms and furnishings are exquisite, and the hallways feature tastefully redesigned wallpaper. The restoration of the original millwork above the elevators, previously concealed by wallpaper, is a particularly commendable detail. The remodeling aesthetic is modern, understated, yet elegant. Our stay at this property was highly satisfactory, and the service provided was exceptional.

This location was perfection for exploring the downtown Boston. We walked everywhere and took the metro one time. Room was spacious, we were able to unpack and store our bags. Beds were very comfortable and the blackout curtains help us sleep in until 7am every single morning! Staff was delightful and friendly, from the opening of the door to getting us checked in! Wonderful experience - this stay is the one of the many reasons I can’t wait to come back!
